Terms of service

The rules for using Quill, written to be read.

Last updated October 25, 2026.

Who we are

Quill IDE and quillide.com are run by Quill (“Quill”, “we”, “us”). Questions about these terms: [email protected].

Using Quill

You may use Quill to write software for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. Do not use Quill or the included models to break the law, attack systems, or get around usage limits.

Your account

Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity on your account and on editors you connect to it.

Plans and billing

Paid plans renew each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page; you keep the plan until the end of the paid period. Each paid plan includes AI usage every month; usage you do not use carries over for the number of months shown on the pricing page, then expires. New accounts get a free trial so you can try Quill before you pay.

No refunds

Payments are not refundable. This covers plans, renewals, plan changes and top-ups, whether paid monthly or yearly. When you cancel, we stop the next renewal and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for; we do not refund the rest of that period or AI usage you did not use.

Your plan starts as soon as you pay. By paying, you ask us to give you access straight away and you agree that you lose the right to cancel within 14 days and get your money back that you might otherwise have under consumer law. This does not take away rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded, for example if Quill does not work as described.

AI output

AI suggestions can be wrong. Review changes before you keep them, especially code the agent writes or commands it runs. You decide what to accept.

Your code

Your code is yours. We claim no rights to it or to the output the AI produces for you.

Limits of liability

Quill is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for more than what you paid us in the last twelve months.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the editor before the change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
